Islets of Lewis
Bearasaigh and Seanna Chnoc, islets in outer Loch Ròg, from Bostadh on Great Bernera, off the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. At sunset, with rain showers in the distance, I was intrigued by the lilac tones in the dark rain clouds and reflecting in the sea, contrasting with the light orange tones in the upper cloud and through to white clouds and blue sky. During the late 16th and early 17th centuries, Bearasaigh was used as a pirates' hideout and the remains of various buildings from that period still exist. In the modern era its cliffs are used for rock-climbing. More information at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bearasaigh and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seanna_Chnoc
