Golden Falls

Gullfoss ("Golden Falls") in the Golden Circle in Iceland. This vast series of falls on the Hvítá river flows down into a wide curved three-step 'staircase' and then abruptly plunges in two stages (11m and 21m) into a crevice 32 metres deep. The crevice, about 20m wide and 2.5 km in length, extends perpendicular to the flow of the river.
